Yo yo! I go by the name of Gotti Da Ghost, coming straight outta Mount Pleasant! My newest album “Baptism by Fire” is available exclusively on Bandcamp!  Check it out and let me know what y’all think! Here’s the link:

In case this is your first time hearing me, let get y’all up to speed. I’m also one half of the group Pedigree with my cousin MGB, and I dropped my first album “The Awakening” back in February 2020 along with a few singles that are all on streaming platforms.

I was born with a physical condition called cerebral palsy, so I use a wheelchair and crutches to getting around. So hip hop definitely got me through the tough times in my life as a kid. Hopefully my music and story can bring disability awareness and inspire people.

I would describe my sound as a marriage of the South and East Coast vibes of the late 90s/early 2000s, all while keeping them fresh for today. My influences include Jay-Z, Jadakiss, Lloyd Banks, T.I., and Andre 3000, among others. I enjoy telling stories in my songs, and using slick wordplay, punchlines, and intricate rhyme schemes.

My ultimate goal is to be a fixture in Charleston hip hop, so we can bring the city the recognition it deserves. I want Charleston (and South Carolina as a whole) to be united because we are all stronger together. It shouldn’t matter if you’re from Mount Pleasant, West Ashley or Downtown…if you’re in the tri-county area, YOU ARE CHARLESTON. I truly think we have just as much talent as other places like Atlanta or Miami; we just have to prove it.

Of course, for my own selfish reasons, I rap because I want to be the best at it. I plan to bring friendly competition. Given my influences, I consider myself cut from that same cloth of emceeing. At the end of the day, I don’t do this for money, I do this for the recognition and props for the people and my peers. I want to be known as one of the best to ever do it in Charleston, and help open doors for the city. And if I can’t open the door, I’ll at least help pick the locks for the next wave of artists.

But that’s my story in a nutshell! Again, I appreciate y’all for listening and I hope y’all enjoy the music! I’m looking forward to building relationships with y’all and networking! You can also follow me on all social media platforms at @gottidaghost1!
