Doom Flamingo announced this morning that they will take an indefinite hiatus following their NYE shows at the Charleston Pour House.

The news comes about a week after vocalist Kanika Moore shared on her Instagram story that she would never be working with saxophonist Mike Quinn again.

A few days later, she shared screenshots of messages between herself and Quinn. The messages were not flattering for Quinn in the slightest.

Quinn will not be present for the band’s final run of shows.

Here is the post on their Instagram:

    From the post:

    “Doom family,

We would like let you know that following our next shows in Richmond, Asheville, and Charleston we are taking an indefinite break.

We want to collectively extend our deepest gratitude to the fans and community that have supported us while we take some time to focus on ourselves. You are the ones that make it all happen for us and we appreciate you so much. We will be finishing out the rest of the year as a five piece without our saxophonist Mike Quinn.

While we say this with heavy hearts, our shows recently have felt like some of our best and we are excited to leave it all on the stage for you for these last few. Sometimes the best way to move forward is to take a step back.

    Love,
    Doom”
