UnHeard’s very own, Chemi$t, added a brief project to the conglomerates potent body of work, with the recently released “StillWater Vol.2” EP. This four-track EP showcases the artist’s signature smooth delivery, weaving through his ability to capture the grit of the reality that made him, all while maintaining a laid-back vibe that invites listeners to groove along.

Chemi$t’s candid storytelling shines through as he confronts the darker aspects of his journey, making it clear that self-awareness is a crucial component of his evolution. Right or wrong he’s standing on these principles that raised him like he talks about in ‘Iceberg’ produced by Dolo Boi.

“That’s the life of a dirt road baby, this sh** get real /til this day if I get touched my brother still get on yo heels / I’m committed to this sh**, I got many different tactics/ im a dirt baby, even when I lived out there in Ladson”

The production of the EP complements his style throughout, but a particular favorite was ‘Sommer Ray’ with sampled vinyl-textured soul vocals with a light 60’s soul instrumental loops concocted by producer Metronome. The offset of his delivery over the brightness of the beat and overall tonality of the song was magnifique.

“StillWater Vol.2” is more than just a collection of songs; The embraced darkness, while living with the light. Chemi$t has undoubtedly added another #GxldApproved classic to the crown of UnHeard’s impressive catalog.
