I’ve really been digging the 1974 Bob Marley & The Wailers album Natty Dread. This album contains the studio recording of “No Woman No Cry” and “Lively Up Yourself”, but otherwise it’s one of his lesser known albums.
It has one of my favorite songs on it, though: “Rebel Music (3 O’Clock Roadblock)”
I just published an essay about the meaning of “Rebel Music” on the main blog.
And another one that I’ve been digging into lately: “Talkin’ Blues”
This song also ended up being the name of a 1991 compilation album of 70s recordings.
