This odd story telling (sort of) song with an infectious melody is well… infectious. The video is really well done, and is worth watching all the way through for the interesting ending.

Note that the main char’ in the video is played (best lip sync ever) by the English actor David Thewlis, who you’ve undoubtedly scene in a number of television shows and movies over the years. The actual singer, makes an appearance as a cameo… interesting way to make a video to say the least. It’s engaging, and the lyrics might be interpreted as both dark and uplifting simultaneously. At the minimum, it’s thought provoking.

There is a second version featuring Elton John as well, and while I think it’s ok, I prefer this original.
