Extrachill.link, our free link in bio tool / linktree alternative, was released yesterday.

I will continue to build an upgrade it over time, using feedback from people in this forum.

If you have any questions, or run into bugs, or have an idea for a cool feature, post it here and I will get back to you ASAP.

The new link in bio tool is great! Already have testing mine on instagram. As I am customizing it is showing me a toggle, “Disable Inline YouTube Video Player”, and I do not have this toggle selected yet the youtube video does play directly on my page as it warns it would. I would actually like for my music video to automatically play, or at least for the thumbnail of the video to be visible. What do you make of this?

I would not even consider it a bug…so again, great great work putting this Extrachill.Link into effect (:

Hey @jollymonster thanks for the heads up. The YouTube stuff was working on my test site but not on the live version and I didn’t notice.

That should be fixed now. When you click a YouTube link, it SHOULD open and play the video directly in the page.

On the advanced tab, the toggle switch is meant to turn that feature OFF. So if you use the “disable” option, it will take you to youtube.com instead.

So, to recap, fixed now:

1. YouTube links
2. Color picker not remembering your selections between page loads
3. Saving “Location” field in the user profile

Added thumbnails to my list. I can make that happen the same way LinkTree does.

Little something: Fonts in the ‘customize’ section keep returning to OG settings. I’ll send a video.

@jollymonster it’s probably the same issue the colors had.. i’m on it and thanks so much for testing the system and letting me know about broken stuff

It might take me til tomorrow to fix the fonts thing but it will be fixed asap

@jollymonster Just shipped a fix for that. It turned out to be more complicated than I expected. But everything should be working now. And slightly better than before, because I reworked the whole backend system to be more reliable.

Still working on:

1. YouTube Thumbnails
2. More Icons (Substack, Venmo, ETC)
3. Adding a better subscription feature similar to the way Linktree does it
4. Option to move social icons to the bottom of the links instead of the top
5. Advanced setting for a single featured link with its own special style

Thank you again for checking this out and giving feedback. There are a few more tiny bugs I noticed that I will be gradually working out.

But the items listed above will be the first things I implement.

This will keep getting better over time! Super proud of it

Okay – Added:

1. Featured link setting on Advanced Tab
2. Subscription feature on the link page, with exporting
3. Social icons can now be moved to the bottom

I am still working on some more updates, but these ones are pretty big enhancements.

Everything should be working smoothly but let me know if you find any bugs

hey, sorry to report, I am getting a ‘page not found’ error when I try to visit my link page to make edits there.

@jollymonster crap. sorry about that. i will look into this tonight. been out of town at a bachelor party all weekend.

That is now fixed. Sorry, weird issue i guess from a recent WordPress update that i didnt notice. turned out to be an easy fix, thankfully.

I also removed the “Featured Link” advanced setting as it was overly complex and not the right approach.

I may add that back in later.
