Will Blackburn – “Adeline”

Will Blackburn of Stop Light Observations released his debut single as a solo artist, “Adeline,” on Thursday. The track was produced by Blackburn, Jay Hurtt and Noah Hone, mixed by Coast Records and mastered by For The Record Mastering.
“Adeline” is simple, featuring just Blackburn’s voice and a piano. Stripped of any other instrumental trappings, he allows the vocals to be the focal point of the song. The sound echoes slightly, as if he’s playing the song alone in a large, expansive room. The song is a melancholic ballad with lyrics that will feel familiar to anyone who has ever loved and lost. “I know you never wanted / To end up with a poor boy like me,” Blackburn laments.
