Tom Mackell – “Strange Times”

On Friday, Charleston degenerate songwriter Tom Mackell released a new single called “Strange Times”. It’s his first new release of 2020, other than the video for “Open Road”, and it follows the 2019 EP A Life I Once Knew. “Strange Times” was written during quarantine and muses upon the changing times and days stretched out ahead that feel endless. Well, since there really is nothing as to do then we might as well get drunk in the morning, is what Tom is getting at with this one. I would tend to agree with the sentiment and if you need me I’ll be over at Tom’s house helping with the keg problem.
According to Tom’s recent Q&A with Glide, “Strange Times” is the first of several releases that he’s got planned in the coming months. Listen below.
