SUSTO Release New Album, Time in the Sun
    Published: October 30, 2021

SUSTO released their much-anticipated 4th full-length album Time in the Sun on Friday via New West Records. The eleven-song project includes “Get Down,” “Summertime,” “Life is Suffering,” and “God of Death,” which were previously released as singles, as well as seven brand new tracks.

If you’re a consistent reader of Extra Chill, it will probably come as no surprise that we are very excited about this release. From start to finish, it’s a satisfying work of art that delivers the sound we know and love from SUSTO while still providing a fresh perspective.

Singer Justin Osborne’s voice displays its typical charisma, but some tracks include background vocals that add an echo of richness. The songs range from upbeat to mellow but are connected by the thread of Osborne’s narrative-style songwriting.

It’s clear from the lyrics that this album saw him grappling with some of life’s biggest decisions, struggles, and even the very concept of living and dying. “It’s a snapshot of a moment in my life that was both beautiful and brutal,” said Osborne on the band’s Instagram.

SUSTO’s album release tour kicks off this weekend, and they’ve got a stacked roster of shows lined up across the country through April.
