Last week, Charleston rapper Poraa released her new EP Alter Ego. The EP is pretty hard, with a deep bumping bass and themes of female empowerment that totally kick ass, especially the track “Ups and Downs”, which is about being a single mother and refusing to allow another man to come into her life without treating her with respect. The first four tracks on Alter Ego were recorded with Matt Tuton at The Lab, where Walter Brown notoriously recorded some bangers that we’re all still waiting to hear.
