    Fresh Prince Fits Farewell Event Series Combines Charleston’s Music & Fashion Communities

    Fresh Prince Fits, the popular Charleston-based vintage clothing reseller has announced a series of four special, intertwined music and fashion events during the month of October as a farewell to Charleston. Brandon Alston, College of Charleston graduate and founder of Fresh Prince Fits will be moving the brand to Atlanta, but not before celebrating Charleston’s community one last time.

    The four events, all at different venues, each bring a unique facet of Charleston’s creative community to the table. All events feature discounts on Fresh Prince Fits inventory, as he clears his stock in preparation for the move. Plus, live sewing and customization.

    Sunday, October 13th: Stitch & Sound at Timeless by ColaKicks

    Taking place during Second Sunday on King between noon and 5pm, stop by 507 1/2 King Street for a special Tiny Desk-style concert by local Charleston musicians B.A.S.I.C, COSMO, and Jack.

    Thursday, October 24th: Livelihood Finale at Monster Music & Movies

    The LIVELIHOOD PROJECT, a unique multi-sensory, mixed-media collaboration, will be showcased at Monster Records from October 21st to 24th. This project is the result of a partnership between Mike Livelihood, Eyeland Graphics, and Fresh Prince Fits Designs, fusing fashion, music, and visual art.

    The finale takes place on October 24th from 4-8 PM, featuring a live DJ set by Eyeland Vibes and an in-store performance by Mike Live w/ special guest Appollo Valdez.

    Saturday, October 26th: Art in Motion Party at Cistern Yard

    College of Charleston’s Halsey Institute hosts the Art in Motion party Saturday, October 26th from 1pm to 5pm, including a parade and ticketed fundraiser. This event celebrates the 40th anniversary of the art institute. Tickets & more info here.

    Sunday, October 27th: Creative Swap Meet at Eyeland Graphics Studio

    The grand finale takes place at the Eyeland Graphics studio on Johns Island, on Sunday, October 27th from 2pm to 8pm. The event will feature live music, deep crate DJ sets, MCs, and special guest performances throughout the day, along with food and drinks to keep the creative energy flowing. Exclusive Fresh Prince Fits tees and crewneck sweatshirts will be available, along with an auction of the Livelihood Project Hoodies, a unique collaboration blending wearable sound and visual art.
