Florida Man – “Brain Cell”

Last week, Charleston post-hardcore band Florida Man premiered a new single called “Brain Cell” with Decibel Magazine. With that release came the announcement of Florida Man’s new album Tropical Depression, which will be released May 3rd via Spartan Records. Tropical Depression is also being pressed to vinyl on a sweet orange picture disk. This will be the band’s first vinyl release, and it will make them one of the only harder-hitting bands in Charleston to not only have a record deal, but also to put out vinyl.

Tropical Depression follows the self-titled debut album from Florida Man that was released back in 2017. Spartan Records released a digitial re-issue of that album when Florida Man joined their roster. The re-issue contains a bonus track called “Shut-In” that was not included on the initial release.

Florida Man will celebrate the release of Tropical Depression on Friday, May 3rd with a show at The Royal American. Joining them that night will be fellow Charleston bands Riot Stares and John Bias. Facebook event here.
