Chris Wilcox – “Some Kind of Wild”

This morning, Chris Wilcox released “Some Kind of Wild”, the second single off his upcoming album Chris Wilcox & the Boys. Chris recorded the new album at Coast Records here in Charleston, with a backing band that is 3/4 Human Resources and 1/4 Pete from Ohio (on guitar). “Some Kind of Wild” has Chris showing off his vocal range, which is surprisingly high for somebody who speaks with as much of a rasp as he does. Might have something to do with how much time he spends immersed in the activity depicted on the cover art above. That photo was taken by Paul Chelmis at Charleston Hemp Fest on 4/20.
Chris Wilcox & the Boys is due for release this summer, and you can expect one more single to come before then. The first single, “GoldFriend”, was released in March.
