Brother Oliver – “Castles”

Yesterday, Greeville-based psychedelic folk band Brother Oliver premiered their new single “Castles” with PopMatters. “Castles” is the first new single to come from Brother Oliver since the release of their self-titled album last year.

According to Andrew Oliver, who is one-half of the brotherly duo, “Castles” is a standalone single, which means it isn’t necessarily part of a larger work. He did mention, however, that Brother Oliver has been in the studio lately working on what will become their next album.

This time around the band has decided to record as many songs as they can come up with, and then plans to narrow them down to their favorites in order to compile the new album. The album is still several months away from being announced, but “Castles” is the first single to come from those studio sessions. Listen below.
