This is a song I’ve lived for a while now. The T.S.U. TORONADOES are most well known for being the backing band for the classic Archie Bell & The Drells famous song “Tighten Up”. The “T.S.U.” in the name stands for Texas State University, where I believe the band originated. Another important distinction to make is that it’s “Toronado” (Oldsmobile Car that was popular at the time, and not “Tornado” (the tropical storm that fucks up our paychecks every fall in the south.
